CSR Committee

Mr V Sridhar is the Group Vice President & Director (Manufacturing) of Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI).

A Mechanical Engineering Graduate from BITS Pilani and Masters in Business Administration, Mr Sridhar has a total of 34 years work experience in Automobile & 2 wheeler Production and Operations area.

He started his work career as a graduate Engineer Trainee in Maruti Udyog Ltd in 1985. He had a rich mix of Production Planning , Project & Shop floor operation experience for 15 years in Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.

He had worked in areas of Production Planning & Control, Engine Assembly & Vehicle Assembly. In 1999, he led the team which set up and operated the Vehicle Assembly line in Maruti’s 3rd plant in Gurgaon.

He joined Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) in year 2000 and has been associated with HMSI for 18 years since its inception as Head of Manufacturing.

In HMSI, he has been completely involved and responsible from plant setup to operations of all 4 factories, Quality , Production Planning & Control, New Models & expansion projects. He has been in the Board of Directors of HMSI since 2013.

With his vast experience in Manufacturing & Management, Mr Sridhar has been a member of several committees. Notable among them are Society Of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) , FICCI Manufacturing Committee and FICCI Quality & Safety Work group and Society of Automobile Engineers.

Mr. Kenji Hamada is the Director and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, Pvt. Ltd.

He became a part of the Honda family in 2000 and he is renowned as a true inspirer, with a logic-driven attitude towards his work. In the contemporary world of finance, he managed consolidated profits of the global motorcycle business that includes profit variance analysis, profit improvement proposals, cost reduction proposals. He managed cash flow and break-even points of the motorcycle business as well as managed costs at production facilities in the US & Turkey. Along with his technical expertise, Mr. Kenji, as the department head, rejuvenated people and the organization and developed human resources.

Mr. Kenji's contribution to the organization made him a leader and an admiring personality. He not only made proposals for the optimal capital expenditure but also did R&D spending in line with the market growth of each country. He established a consolidated operating profit target for the motorcycle business to contribute to boosting its profitability. In major ASEAN countries, he was responsible for examining resistance to production reduction and currency fluctuations to avoid the risk of declining profits.

Mr. Hiroyuki Sukegawa is the Director-General Affairs of Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, Pvt. Ltd.

Mr. Hiroyuki is a law graduate from Aoyama Gakuin University, Tokyo. His core strength is Personnel management: Personnel transfer, merit-rating, promotion, qualification, consolidated subsidiaries' executive appointments, revision of executive compensation. He formulated the personnel system, which includes a wage structure and an assessment system. He established a good relationship between management and workers and lead Labour-management negotiations. His enormous contributions to human resources are indescribable as they created an impact at the core level in the organization.

He is a part of the enterprise since 1992. His contributions were more than just skill and time. Known for his high emotional quotient, Mr. Hiroyuki took charge of the personnel of the headquarters and implemented a re-employment system, formulated rules on new work style regarding production/sales, and planned individual calendars. His managerial skills not only contributed to human resources but also to material management and financial resources. The creation of training systems and planning of various kinds of instruction courses benefitted the organization in structuring human resources to an influential level.

Mr. Vinay Dhingra is whole time Director and Board member of Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd.

Mr. Dhingra has post qualification experience of 26+ years in manufacturing automobile industry. He has done M.Tech in Tool Design and Production Engineering from Tool Room & Training Centre, Delhi in the year 1993.

Mr. Dhingra has been associated with Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) from last 20 years since company’s inception. He started his career in the year 1993 with Jai Bharat Maruti Ltd. in Engineering Department (Designing of Press tools/SPM’s) & Production Department (Production & Maintenance of Automatic Tandem Press Lines’) before moving to Minda HUF Ltd., where he lead Vendor Development and Purchasing function.

In HMSI, Vinay has played a pivotal role during various phases of organization growth. In his initial years of association with HMIS, he was responsible for managing ‘Production Body’ and with his expertise, helped HMSI accomplish various projects especially for ‘Press & Weld’. In the year 2011, the management entrusted him with higher responsibility of managing the entire Manesar Plant and during this tenure of his, he the took the responsibility of expansion of overall Plant Operations.

In the year 2013, Mr. Dhingra moved to Bangalore to Head a ‘Greenfield Project and help HMSI setup its largest plant located at Narsapura. He was instrumental in setting-up this plant which is now India’s one of the biggest & best in class Two Wheeler plant. During this time he was instrumental in connecting efficiently with community around the plant and impacted their lives with CSR interventions towards Rural Infrastructure , Environmental, Healthcare & Education .

Mr. Dhingra is a known strategist with excellent people management skills. He has unique expertise of managing relations with plant union ensuring harmonious flow of work. Mr. Dhingra also has an inherent ability to understand human resources and carries high proficiency in gauging & controlling any adverse situations.

Mr. Dhingra is very passionate about his work and is a health enthusiast. He is currently responsible for managing the ‘General & Corporate Affairs’ and ‘Information Technology’ Operations in HMSI and directing CSR strategies as CSR committee member.

Mr. Pradeep Singh is Operating Head – CSR in Honda 2wheelers India w.e.f 01st April 2019.

Prior to that he was heading General & Corporate affairs in Honda 2wheelers. He has a rich experience of 28 years in Honda & various reputed multinational companies.

Mr. Sharad Pradhan is Division Head – CSR. Relations, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, Pvt. Ltd., a 100% subsidiary of Honda Motor Co. Japan. At Honda he is responsible for strategic CSR, ensure harmonious Employee Relations & smooth Govt. relations.

After 24 years of Sales & marketing career, he started a fresh inning in Social sector & is now heading the Corporate Social Responsibility in Honda 2Wheelers.

Mr. Pradhan is a MBA Graduate in Marketing Management with a strong belief in sincerity, hardworking and disciplined approach. His last 4 years, has been aimed at making a difference to the society by strategizing CSR policy, developing sustainable, need based, impactful CSR initiatives aligned with Honda’s vision to be a Company that society wants to exist.
